"Three women. Three babies. Three C.A.R.E. Kits"

A grandma bought abortion pills for her granddaughter.

A couple ordered the pills to end their pregnancy.

A woman, supported by her sister, planned to take the pills that night.

A center in Texas had six women who were set on taking the abortion pills. Even after the ultrasounds and the discussions, these women were still going to start the abortion process.

That is when the nurse brought out the C.A.R.E. Kits. With the brochure in hand, she educated the women at a level not possible by just explaining the process. In the words of the nurse, the kit consultation “immerses the client in what she will really experience.” That added visceral connection to the actual abortion process made the difference.

In follow-up conversations with the six women, three had chosen differently. The granddaughter was simply not interested in abortion after seeing what she would go through. The couple sat in the car and the man, seeing what the mother would experience, burst into tears and they changed plans. The sister, seeing the destruction the pills would bring, said, “We can raise a baby!”
